Mark is married to Bonnie and they have 3 children and 3 grandchildren.

Mark enjoys volunteering and has sat on many boards, committees and organizations within the community including the Chamber of Commerce and Rotary. Mark was also a former member of the Brockville Rifles.

Mark ventured into politics by being involved in the executives of both federal and provincial parties along with a couple runs for municipal office.
